Yeah, I'm a wee bit obsessed with Adidas trainers.
When I were just getting into my teens Adidas trainers were just becoming big with lads, terrace wear and what would later become known as the casual movement.
I have had a few pairs of Puma, Reebook, Converse, Nike and a few other different brand names over the years but it's always Adidas and the three stripe that I keep coming back to.
They usually last me for years on account of the fact that I now own about 20 pairs and can rotate them.
My oldest pair are a green pair of Gazelles, I've had them for 16 years.
I guess my second oldest pair are my blue and orange Samoas that I have had for 10 years. They both show a bit of wear, but I feel I always get my money's worth out of my favourite brand of trainers.
Having said all of that, my favourite pair of trainers that I currently own are a fake leather pair of limited edition Johnny Marr PF Flyers. There were only 200 pairs produced worldwide and they were designed by Johnny with all proceeds going to charity. I have never worn them and probably never will, well maybe about the house or to take them out to get them signed by the great man himself one day.
I hope.

Of course some of these older pairs look well worn and a bit tatty in these pictures but to be honest I was never a huge fan of spotless looking brand new trainers like some daft Yank. I prefer my shoes to look a little bit broken in and all of these still look the dogs bollcks with a pair of jeans on.
